5 Oddities

It's fun to walk around the stores with all kinds of Chinese made products and see what catchy logos they've come up with to sell their products. Let's see how they're catching the eye of their customers. The advertising is usually quite eloquent. Take a stroll through the store with me...

Barbie Doll:

"Happy life, enjoy the living fun!"

This Barbie stands out from all the rest! She's alive! What about this, isn't creepy? And if you buy her, you will have a happy life!

Baby doll with Stroller

"Baby car!" That sounds safe! "The more you play with me the happier I will be!"

One would need to play with this baby a lot in that case, as he appears to be very sad. That was really the selling point for me, I couldn't stand to see him sad any more. I wanted to see him become happier and happier! But I sure did not cheer up when his disposition did not change either.

Drinking jug:

"Pony Brown's life. To enjoy life's pleasures"

Once again, a clear contradiction! Pony Brown seems to be doing any thing but enjoying life's pleasures! Look at the frown on her face! Well, to look at it from her angle, who would be happy pushing around a dresser? Wait. Why is Pony Brown pushing a dresser?

Wind up toy:

"Poultry Jumping Animal"

I've always wanted a Poultry Jumping Animal!!! And it even come with 12 pieces! Just like KFC!

Drinking jug:

"Happy rabbit happy life, we should have been sustained"

We slipped up guys. Our happiness is forever lost! Unless we buy Barbie, baby car, and Pony Brown we will never be happy. We didn't sustain the rabbits. And they live to remind us every day, every time we look at our drinking jug. Are you sorry yet? You better be. Who is coming up these slogans? Is there some one back in marketing going "I know what will sell! Let's guilt the people over not having preserved the rabbits! Yeah! This water jug will sell like hot cakes! Conservationist from every where will swarm!"
